Martins Restaurant Systems Inc is Hiring an ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST I Near Mableton, GA

Martin’s Restaurants is a growing company made up of 20 quick serve restaurants. As Martin’s continues to grow, we announce a full-time position for an Accounting Specialist I to join our Accounting team. This is a permanent position with the opportunity to grow within the department. We desire someone with a professional, positive, can do attitude that will make a lasting impact on our company.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Receive, process, and reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare bank deposits and bank transfers
  • Calculate, record, and receive payment for monthly rebates receivable
  • Receive, review, and code credit card activity
  • Assist with accounts payable processing
  • Generate monthly reports
  • Maintain gift card system
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
  • Review work of Data Entry Specialist
  • Perform administrative and other tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
  • Outstanding math and reasoning skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with 10-key typing and data entry
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability
  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct preferred
